About me

I am an Honors Computer Science student at Oregon State University. This page covers my education, research, work, and activities.

01 Overview

Computer science, research, and software development.

I am studying Computer Science with concentrations in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, plus minors in Business Administration and Finance. My main research work is on neural-network compression and parameter sharing for Kolmogorov–Arnold Networks.

Outside research, I contribute to research software, teach undergraduate engineering and computer-science students, and work on web, AI, and computer-vision projects.

Research experience

Research on efficient machine learning and model compression at OSU's STAR Lab.

Undergraduate Researcher · STAR Lab, Oregon State University

Corvallis, OR

  • Research neural-network compression, parameter sharing, differentiable clustering, and Kolmogorov–Arnold Networks.
  • Built and extended the MetaCluster research codebase, including experimental scripts, compression methods, model reconstruction, and reproducible workflows.
  • Run multi-seed experiments and hyperparameter sweeps on local NVIDIA GPUs and OSU HPC systems using Slurm.
  • Implemented K-Means, K-Medoids, differentiable K-Means, spectral clustering, custom functional distances, compact cluster-ID packing, Huffman encoding, and Safetensors serialization.
  • Reported up to 80× parameter-storage reduction on image-classification KAN models without accuracy loss and up to 124.1× parameter reduction on equation-modeling tasks.

OSU Spring Poster Symposium

Presented “A Clustering-Based Approach for Parameter Sharing in Kolmogorov–Arnold Transformers.”
